Meet the founder
- Gerard C. Cole Sr, Founder
Gerard C. Cole Sr., the founder of Joy in the Journey™, is a
man whose life reflects resilience, purpose, and unshakable faith. Raised in
the foster system, Gerard endured hardships that could have broken his spirit.
Instead, he chose a different path—never blaming anyone for the challenges he
faced, but living his life as a source of encouragement to the less fortunate,
inspiration to the overlooked, and strength to those still fighting their own
battles.
His journey took on greater purpose when he stepped into his divine
calling as the manager of his niece and nephews, the internationally recognized
group Voices of Glory. Together with their parents, they rose from
humble beginnings to become celebrated headliners in Branson, Missouri. Through
every triumph and trial, Gerard’s steady faith and unwavering leadership became
the foundation of their success.
Today, Gerard continues his mission through mentoring, writing, and
entrepreneurship. His books—Jailed by Lust – Released by Love and Deceitful
Intentions—shine light on faith’s power to transform even the hardest
stories. Joy in the Journey™ is an extension of that vision: more than
merchandise, it is a movement born to uplift, strengthen, and remind the world
